Sekinue, is musical project of Fior Anderson, a trans, queer, AUDHD multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter currently based in Brighton UK. Concerned with themes of loss and grief following the death of their father and loss of a long term partner; Sekinue has spent the last two years working alongside friend and producer Nick Williams (Night House) to create debut album ‘Soft Places’ (to be released in Feb 2027).

Deeply inspired by their own lived experiences and artists such as Sufjan Stevens, Elliott Smith and Joanna Newsom Sekinue’s music seeks to offer catharsis, and acceptance. Their latest release ‘Sunflowers’ serves as a window into their universe exploring the grief of having a chest as a trans person and the social pains that are associated with it.

Sekinue has announced release of a second single ‘Fingernails’ concerning their experiences of isolation and mental health for later this month as part of their album release.

“[Sekinue’s] music sounds like it belongs in film, I could easily see this as the music that leads a horror or romance scene; it’s versatile and a true display of masterful talent.” - Earworms Music and Media

“Sekinue takes the elegant singer songwriter paradigm, eats it whole and lures listeners into a shadowy forest of masterful harp melodies. Their unflinching lyricism is bold yet candid, confronting the urgency of their distinctive blend of contradictions: tender yet unyielding, pensive yet abrupt. Courageously themselves, Sekinue’s music is a vital revolt against artistic conformity.” - Oliver Daffarn: Blue Dot Studios

“If you were to waltz around an empty forest with a familiar ghost and fog attached to your arm, you’d experience what it feels like to listen to ‘Knives’ by Sekinue.” - Harmonics Magazine
